About the Free Enterprise Society

The Free Enterprise Society (FES) is sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise at Oklahoma State University.

The FES is a student-run academic society promoting campus-wide discussions on issues related to value creation in society, competitive markets, economic freedom, personal liberty, and human flourishing. The Society provides the OSU community with speakers, faculty-student dinner/discussion groups, networking events, field trips, and other educational activities.  The Society is non-partisan, and does not engage in any form of political advocacy.

The Society meets six or seven times per semester.  Three or four of these meetings typically feature nationally-recognized speakers.  The other meetings are more informal, generally featuring local speakers and opportunities for interaction with other students.  Society dues are minimal.  The Institute pays for all outside speakers and subsidizes other Society activities.
