Doctoral Student Scholars
Aaron Ates is currently a second year Agricultural Economics Ph.D. student. After earning a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 2013, Aaron received a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University in 2015. His research interests pertain to consumer and food economics – specifically evaluating the decisions consumers make and why they make them. Additionally, he has experience with large-scale antitrust litigation and merger and acquisition analyses, as well as matters involving intellectual property, commercial damages, and business valuation. Projects consulted on include a wide range of industries such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy, petroleum and crude-oil markets and pricing.
Aditya Singh is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Marketing. Aditya received his B.Sc. in Economics from the University of London and his MA in Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, India. Aditya has worked in the financial services industry as well as in industry research/consulting for six years. His research interests include family decision making, pro-environmental behavior in groups, and decision making in risk. Currently he is working on a project to identify how individuals and families can reduce excessive food waste.
