Free Enterprise Essentials MOOC

The Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise at Oklahoma State University has launched its first Massive Open Online Course, Free Enterprise Essentials. The 12-part course features experts from across the university.

Free, online and open to anyone in the world, the course looks at how the free enterprise system works and its impact on society, government and culture.

"America and most of the world is better off today because of free enterprise and we hope to teach why this is significant" said Dr. Vance Fried, host professor for the course and Director of the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise.

The self-paced course is broken into 12 interactive video modules that include self-assessments, discussion posts, and downloads with key points and important take-aways.

Fried said the luxury of the course is the ability to complete when, where and how an individual prefers. The quality of education is equivalent to that of a classroom and will provide participants from around the world the opportunity to learn more about Free Enterprise and its impact.
